not so bad anyway compare to kenema district..but cases
are coming out
C/比起南部的地區好些，不過很快會出來不少病情。

in makeni and are under the st. conforti parish... the problem is that people
belive of the existence of ebola BUT they dont beleive that these 4 ebola cases
under conforti aprish are because of ebola., for them they died of witches not
because of ebola

oh, that could be a big problem. we heard two medical
doctor in Freetown past away...and some villages because of S.L government
avoid people to moving so..some small villages are also straggling for hunger
and lack of daily goods.

to go to kabala no way...people can not leave kabala and
cant go to kabala...freetown still free but many check points...
c/ 沒有人可以進入kabala。那裡的人可以離開kabala，不過不可以再進入。其他地區的人禁止進入。首都還可以，不過有許多檢查站。

Hey Marco, ciao. Sto bene e sono a kabala da ieri. Non ho cercato la mia
email ancora perchè non è possibile su mio telofono. Ora è molto dificile con
ebola qui. Il paese è in grande crisis. Tante persone hanno perso le loro vita.
È dificile. Il presdente ha appena parlato decendo che nessuno deve muoversi da
un district a l'altro, cioè- le machine, okada etc. Nel paese è solo in
koinadugu district (kabala) dove non c'è ebola. Continiamo a pregare.

Ciao Marco, i
came yesterday from Mongo. I'm now in Makeni. The latest news is that Koinadugu
(Kabala) District is Ebola free but has created lots of frights in the people.
The authorities have blocked the entry points to Koinadugu. Prices of goods
have escalated indiscriminately. People are suffering bcoz they lack food,
especially in the villages. 3 days ago there was no rice in Mongo and no public
market is allowed in the entire country. Nationally, according to reports as of
yesterday Ebola suspected and confirmed cases cotinue to increase. Makeni and
Portloko are dangerous zones these days. Many homes have been quarantined.
Government is trying but the situation is worrysome. The country is under a
state of emagency. I remain in my compound, reading and writing, and praying
too. We are trying to be prudent, taking precausionary measures. We remain
united in prayers.

Ciao Marco, the
ebola infection cases continue to escalate. It seems like all steps taken so
far could not stop the contagion. It is a worrying situation because people
around us continue to get infected. Two people around my area (Ropolon) were
taken to Kenema yesterday and this morning we got news that the one died and
the other is undegoing treatment. The houses where they were picked up have
been quarantined for 21 days. Many houses in Makeni have been quarantined.
People in the quarantined houses suffer lack of food and other basic amenities.
Some people in these houses die not because of ebola but the lack of food that
many do experience. The government helps but it is not really enough. Two weeks
ago the fathers went round to offer food and other items to some quarantined
homes. Now, all activities havd stopped and government has ordered a three-day
lockdown of the entire country, from 19 to 21 September. No body is allowed to
go out, not even to go for prayers. It is like been in prison! We thank you for
your prayers and unity and we hope that this direase will leave us soon. 1
I discussed with
Carlo about the help you want to offer and he is happy. He asked me to tell you
that they do not have special bank account. He told me to send to you my bank

written to you yet, not so? Maybe he does not have your email because he

你好，馬克。伊波拉病例越來越多。看起來，用盡辦法也不容易防止病毒的傳染。情況非常緊迫，連我們周圍的鄰居也有被感染。我居住的地方有2個人被感染，他們被送到Kenema，聽說其中1個已經過世，另外一個在治療。他們的房子被封鎖了21天。 Makeni的很多房子被封鎖了。住在這些房子裡面的人，不管他們有沒有被感染都不可以出門。他們缺乏糧食和日用品，有些失去了生命的不是因為伊波拉病而是因為飢餓。在2個禮拜前，神父門給這些家庭送米和日用品。不過現在停止了任何的救濟活動。政府宣佈在全國范圍內，近3天不可出門外出。任何人都不可做屋外的活動。連去教堂和教會都被禁止。好像被關在監獄中。謝謝你們的祈禱和擔心。希望盡快把這個伊波拉病消除。

bello sentirti di nuovo!
Spero che stiate tutti bene. Qui ci è capitata anche questa adesso dopo la
guerra... si vive sempre con il cuore in gola, soprattutto quando hai la
malaria o qualcuno in casa ce l’ha, come ieri con Natale. Per fortuna poi, la
febbre va via e si tira un respiro di sollievo.
Ieri abbiamo saputo purtroppo che il medico dei Fatebenefratelli di Lunsar
è stato infettato col virus. Un grosso dolore per tutti noi ed anche un motivo
in più per preoccuparsi. Speriamo bene, possiamo far poco. Amare dove possiamo
e fin dove possiamo e pregare anche un po’. E’ molto bello se potessi aiutare
soprattutto i nostri. Fin’ora non abbiamo casi tra i gen e i membri dell’Opera,
ma molti soffrono per la mancanza di lavoro. Anche la scuola quest’anno è
un’incognita, prima di Natale sarà impossibile che aprano e dopo si vedrà. John
fa bene, in questi giorni è qui a Makeni e sta leggendo alcuni articoli che gli
ho stampato da Nuova Umanità. Così cerchiamo di pensare in positivo anche se
questo è per tutti un altro importante incontro col Dolore! Caro Marco, un

很開心聽到你的消息。一切都好吧？這裡是，內戰以後（結束於10年前）又一次的悲劇。時時刻刻感覺到會被疾病感染的緊張和恐怖。最近 natalio神父得了瘧疾，發燒。大家擔心會不會是伊波拉。還好他吃了瘧疾藥以後退燒了，大家都鬆了一口氣。
不過，昨天聽到在Lunsa醫院的一位兄弟被伊波拉感染。我們擔心又傷心。可是，能夠怎麼辦？我們所能做的事情就是，盡量的去愛，盡量的祈禱。可以為我們提供一些幫助，非常感謝。目前在第二代新青*中沒有人被感染。但是他們沒有任何的工作（因為目前整個國家的情況），生活也遇到不少的困難。大學（ Makeni大學）不知到什麼時候會開學，大概在聖誕節之前是不可能了。 John現在在Makeni，他在寫閱讀，寫論文。我也有給他一些閱讀的資料。我們不管在多大的困難之下，努力地保持樂觀的想法。親愛的馬克和家庭，送你一個擁抱。 （只能在信中擁抱，在這裡握手也被禁止了。）再見！
